This national award winning planning document served as the official outdoor recreation policy for the state of Georgia. It assessed statewide and national trends, outdoor recreation needs and created a strategic foundation for addressing public health, economic vitality and protection of open spaces. Eric VanDeGenachte, president of Vanguard Contingent, served a pivotal role in the research, writing, editing and evaluation of the plan prior to the formation of the company.
